Danzca – Naphtalina Rework EP (incl. Peter Van Hoesen Remix)

Category: Release | Thursday 16 September 2010

After the success of the track Naphtalina, with a first mention in the Beatport Top 100 for Signaletik Records, the label offers a return on this release with the coming of a “Part 2″. The duo Danzca was again requested to provide a new vision of this title. This rework is accompanied by another choice remixer. After the talented Joey Beltram, it is up to Peter Van Hoesen offers us a remix of this track. Peter Van Hoesen, resident at Fuse, the mythical Brussels club, is an artist with a heavy musical history. Active since 1993 in the electronic music scene, he is recognized by all for his multiple talents to produce equally either Techno or Electronica. Founder of the label Time To Express, he also released several productions on other labels such as Lan Muzic, Meakusma or Foton, not to mention the release this year of his debut album Entropic City on his own label.

Enriched by his career path, Peter Van Hoesen tackles this track by giving it a more powerful and dub side. This more German approach creates a resolutely Techno track with a dark atmosphere and a heavy bass. He did not skimp on the effects to break the monotonous side and thereby build a evolutionary track of a little over 7 minutes.

Through their rework, Danzca offers a title with a more hypnotic riff and a dreamier atmosphere without breaking the Techno rhythm as present in the Original Mix. This new version also enhances the contrast between high and low frequencies which also gives more body and presence to this title.

These two new visions are sure to warm up the dancefloors with the arrival of the first wintery evenings. Two approaches, two universes, two visions but the same guaranteed effect!

Sasha Wins & Igor Shep – Charoplet EP Part 2 (Incl. Zadig Remix)

Category: Release | Wednesday 28 April 2010

Signaletik Records continues its momentum of duets after Warren Fellow & Michael Steinbach and French Danzca, the label has set her sights on a duet from Belarus, Sasha Wins & Igor Shep. This collaboration is very special because, first, contains two original tracks and two remixes, and secondly, it is in two volumes. Each will find the version of those titles that best match their musical aspirations.

This second volume, which may be called “Remixes”, includes two titles. After a remix of Charoplet by Maetrik on the first volume, two other artists bring a new vision of this track.

The duo Guillom & Benales, after their remix of Blackwind of Egor Boss, signs a second remix on the label. These two artists from Lille are not unknown. Guillom was raging for many years in this region as a resident DJ of the Sound Of Sand parties, as well in 2006, his participation and victory in the contest “Kozzmozz” which opened the way for a booking at Vooruit as young talent in the event of the same name, or his participation in “French Music Man Tour 2008″. Guillom combines the caps as he is also the Label Manager of Signaletik Records. Benales is a young regional prodigy, winner of the contest “Young Talent” at the NAME Festival. Two “shocking” artists of a remix which is just as much. The slamming kick and snares in agreement with cymbals precede a powerful melody that creates a heavy atmosphere on background of effects smoothly done! This techno remix looks like a techno mix done Joey Beltram style! A second remix, a second success.

Zadig, true to himself, offers us minimized and marital techno. With a powerful kick and a severe bassline sticking around 125 BPM, this remix is worthy of being played at Berghain in Berlin. It is very similar in the line of Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann or Norman Nodge. The assortment of rhythmic rises gently to explode the eardrums at long and strong the break. A remix that will lure many fans!

Sasha Wins & Igor Shep – Charoplet EP (incl. Maetrik & Mark Broom Remix)

Category: Release | Thursday 15 April 2010

Signaletik Records continues its momentum of duets after Warren Fellow & Michael Steinbach and French Danzca, the label has set her sights on a duet from Belarus, Sasha Wins & Igor Shep. This collaboration is very special because, firstly, it contains two original tracks and two remixes, and secondly, it is in two volumes. Each will find the version of those titles that best match their musical aspirations.

The two original tracks, “Charoplet” and “Give Me Beat, Freaaaaaks!”, are two tracks tailored for the dancefloor and cause the universal enthusiasm of a crowd in the dark. Atmospheric and mental, they have a side air that leaves no one indifferent. “Charoplet” is rocked by layers of synths with drums carefully measured to ensure the effect. “Give Me Beat Freaaaaaks!” resumed the recipe but in a more open way with a metallic voice that takes us into a world away from home, a world full of bass, rhythm and clubbers.

Mark Broom reiterates once again its trust by signing a new remix on this release. His version of “Give Me Beat Freaaaaaks!” is not a small lace of coffee table but without any hesitation, a title: techno! Kick, snare, heavy bassline, rhythmic sequences and filtered sequences to provide a sufficient impulse to announce a devastating and atmospheric break. A brilliant remix by its excellence that does not alter the original but offers a different vision.

Maetrik, despite his new project Maceo Plex, also signed a remix on this release. This artist is a master in the entirely reworked sequences and we can hear it! Techno ambiance, the sounds are crushed and refurbished before being sublimated to a record filled with a specific groove that can only reach the public. This remix, closer to the edit, is rich in emotion, including only the voice of the original! The many sounds are clear and distinct as layers made to get you moving on the catwalk and a break that will not leave you insensitive!

Felix Bernhardt – The Wireless Beat EP

Category: Release | Friday 9 April 2010

After its first digital release, Needles & Fibers EP, by the Ukrainian Egor Boss, Signaletik Records/Digital relapses with a fine way offering the new productions of the German Felix Bernhardt. Like the first release, the Lille label hopes once again to provide international exposition for a young artist.

Felix Bernhardt is characterized by his Minimal sound which is very impulsive, indeterminate and sizzling. His productions came out on various German labels (Hardshower, Afulab or Hardshower) until now. This artist was also noted by another project, The Minimal Synthetic, a compilation containing 700MB of sample Minimal. He is not only a talented producer but also a DJ who has mixed alongside names such as DJ Hell, Laurent Garnier and George Morel. This multi-faceted artist has the word “dancefloor” as sole leitmotiv.

Leitmotiv that he keeps alive once again with three explosive techno tracks grouped together on this EP, The Wireless Beat. The title track is a ruthless efficiency taking even the most reluctant to move thanks to its heavy bass and ambience both intriguing and captivating. The title Polter Geist continues on the path of this incentive to move with Deep Minimal sounds in the deep bass and strings of white noise throughout the track. This title challenges dancers into the most secluded corners of the dancefloor. Blunt Ball takes us into a world most hypnotic and darkening with the low grunting bass and this sensation of filling the void surrounding us. This EP leaves no respite and will tire more than one clubber.

Egor Boss – Needles & Fibers EP (incl. Electric Rescue Remix)

Category: Release | Friday 26 February 2010

Signaletik Records launches its first sublabel, a label exclusively digital wishing to become a springboard for artists of tomorrow. For this first release, they decided to collaborate with a young Ukrainian producer: Egor Boss.

Although already known in his country, he is also gaining popularity in the international scene now. Since the beginning of his career in 2006, this producer has already produced no less than forty releases and has already received critical acclaim. Again, Signaletik Records stands for quality and they touch the dancefloor within its soul: rhythm and emotion.

Egor Boss delivers us a sound as sharp as a needle with “Needles & Fibers”, with old school tone on lead climbing gradually to the most current kick. Track labelised “100% Techno”. Electric Rescue delivers us, meanwhile, a remix on his trademark: the Minimal version of the title and, with an efficiency that will fool most of one clubbers with a break of madness, a swelled kick and an immediate rhythmic. Luggage? Ready! Taking off? Now!

The track “Blackwind” takes us into the depths of Dark Acid. The dark side of this title should arouse the impulses of more than one listener. The impact is immediate by plunging the dancefloor in a blackout for 7 minutes. The duo Guillom & Benales continued in this way by preserving the atmosphere of this track but by altering the rhythm in an ultra-efficient DJ Tool which uses more than a pair of sneakers! Kick, snares, lead, everything is powerful and heavy. A success for the first remix of this new French duo.

The cherry on the cake is the presence of the title “Loaded” which completes this release. With its muffled bassline and string lines, this Techno title also provides a rhythmic explosion devastating the dancefloors.

Danzca – Naphtalina EP (incl. Joey Beltram Remix)

Category: Release | Monday 18 January 2010

After the Dutchman Darko Esser, the Dutch duo Warren Fellow & Michael Steinbach, French Electric Rescue, Signaletik Records signed a second artist and duo from its country of origin, Danzca.

Danzca is an unlikely gamble of two French DJs Paul Nazca and Maxime Dangles, a gamble with an incredible result as amazing and surprising as the hypothetic and unexpected four aces. Maxime Dangles is a young emerging DJ having made his debut on Bambú Records and Kompakt. From a provincial spotty man, he acquired the status of emerging artist of the French stage in less time than it takes to write. Paul Nazca, an old man in comeback, is known by everyone for his many “dancefloor killers”, on Scandium Records among other things, and the tracks “de son moulin” (from his windmill). Some old, some new, and the duo Danzca takes shape. Furthermore, they are not at their first attempt and they have blithely passed the test with their first EP, Speicher 63, released on Kompakt. Signaletik Records presents their last production, Naphtalina EP, as explosive as some Napalm bombs.

The title track is a subtle blend of timeless characteristics of techno with the actual sounds of the movement: a punched kick combined with several synthesizers and snoring sounds accompanied by a vocal like on the German label Minus. The Joey Beltram Remix takes us into what most characterizes him: a triptych rhythm on a very present bassline. A remix that will boost the dancefloors!
Little Room is the most mental track of the EP but it doesn’t lose in efficiency. Danzca links the reminders to Acid on bursts of break that takes clubbers in the darkness of a vibrating dancefloor chanting the rhythm of a sudden raised arms and feet hopping.

Warren Fellow & Michel Steinbach – Cosmic EP (incl. Mark Broom Remix)

Category: Release | Saturday 4 April 2009

After the dutchman Darko Esser and the french Electric Rescue, Signaletik Records signed another artist from the Netherlands : Warren Fellow, accompanied at the production by his partner Michel Steinbach. Lot of specialists agreed to say that the dutch scene is in full boom and that Amsterdam is going to become the new electronic eldorado after Berlin. At Signaletik Records we do believe in it specially at the listening of the young talents which pylyled in the country of the tulips and the windmills. On top of being a highly requested dj in countries like Germany, Belgium, Spain and The Netherlands, Warren is also label manager of Smoke Records whose tracks are playlisted by Joris Voorn, Shinedoe, Robert Hood, Joachim, Jesper Dahlback, Ken Ishii and Paul Van Dyk. With “Cosmic” and “Atmos”, the two original tracks on SLK03, no doubt that Warren will delight the numerous supporters of spatial, emotional and sensual techno with deep and tech-house accents. For the time of an EP, Signaletik Records creates a new city, utopian, dreamy and out of control : AmsterDetroit. We are already tripping by imagining the eyes wide shut, the lascivious movements and the arms in the air on the dancefloors of clubs such a s Panorama bar or DC10.

To “deluxe” track, “deluxe” remixer with the english techno icon Mark Broom who attacked “Cosmic” and turned it into an anthem for big rooms. Immediate, armed of a fat kick and ravageous take offs, we do not take a high risk by announcing that we hold there one of the hits of 2009 ! On the frontscene since more than 10 years, Mark built its reputation through releases on labels like Pure Plastic, Ingoma, Soma or Zenit. So many names which made the joy of early techno lovers. However Mark distinguished himself from his colleagues of that not so far times as he managed with talent the evolution of its productions rather than staying anchored in the past. The proofs of this ability are the still numerous gigs of Mark all over the world and the releases on labels as BPitch Ctrl, Platzhirsch Schallplatten, 20:20 Vision, Toys For Boys, Be As One and of course Signaletik Records !

Electric Rescue – Rave Toy EP (incl. Julian Jeweil Remix)

Category: Release | Tuesday 3 March 2009

After Darko Esser, the french label Signaletik Records perseveres in a rude and dynamic techno sound by welcoming one of the proudest representant of the french electronic scene : Electric Rescue.

Boss of the infamous Parisian label, Skryptom, he offered us a definitely different and massive sound than usual with 2 exclusive tracks : “Rave Toy” and “Skull Of The Pirate”.

“Rave Toy” is a flashback in the 90’s illegal warehouse parties which ER attempted to and which forged his vision of electronic music. It’s definitely this culture which is reactualized here and remember on these days the smile(y) was the norm. A heavy and powerful kick, a snoring bass line, trippy synths and hedonistic breaks, at Signaletik Records office we all went up on our speakers and we sent our trainee in search of whistles. Julian Jeweil, another real hope of France dance scene, signed a nervous and federator remix, a toy which is not to be put in innocent hands.

“Skull Of The Pirate”, just the time to sponge your forehead and change of T-shirt, Electric Rescue and Signaletik Records will hit with damages the dancefloors attracted by the dark and saturated ambience. In the same vein than “Rave Toy” this track under acid and full of synths will start the hostilities without any doubt, tented face, black glance and aggressiveness ready to destroy everything on its way. There will be no prisoners in the techno freaks community.
